This is too good not to share.
Saturday night at BorderFest during the Action 4 News illuminated Parade, weatherman Bryan Hale must have been inspired by the music and jumped right into the parade with the Zumba dancers. The best part was that he is actually in sync with the dancers. I love the reactions from Ryan Wolf and Marcy Martinez. It was hilarious and unexpected. It was all caught on photo and video and made for a very memorable night.
Out of the 8,444 images I took at BorderFest this year, this one is by far my favorite. This little girl is celebrating her second birthday backstage, during a Tejano concert. Thousands of fans were cheering on the band while this little girl was blowing out two candles on her funnel cake. Her parents, who are volunteers at BorderFest, made it a point to set aside 5 minutes to make her feel special. The gesture was so heartwarming. The whole family was so happy. It was a beautiful dream taking place in South Texas and the best moment in time in the whole world. It was a magnificent display of life on the border and the best happy birthday I have ever witnessed.
